Let's Talk

PSU Mentoring Program

Philosophy Department:

(Burnaby) WMC 4604

The peer mentoring program will formally commence in the Spring 2017 semester. All members are welcomed to attend, and senior students who are interested are encouraged to volunteer.

Peer mentoring sessions will be offered once per week. If the scheduled times, which are not currently posted do not work for you, our mentors are happy to meet outside of these times when their schedules allow for it. Please contact Kelsey using the form below to set up an alternate meeting time.

What students can expect:

During these times, please feel free to drop by the common room to get to know your department and fellow students! The PSU mentoring program offers students a casual setting to meet with senior philosophy students. Grab some coffee or snacks, hang out and get to know some of the students in your program, meet some of the faculty, and explore the department. Students are welcome to ask mentors for advice regarding courses, studying, and their university experiences in general. Mentors are also happy to show students around the campus and the department.

The mentoring program is a great resource if you are considering a major in philosophy. Mentors can share their experiences and let you know what you can expect from a philosophy major or minor.

Further details of the program will be posted on an ongoing basis (including room and time changes).
